Rich Dewey is President and CEO of the New York Independent System Operator. The NYISO is responsible for operating the New York’s high-voltage transmission network, administering and monitoring the wholesale electricity markets, and planning for the state’s energy future. Prior to his 25+ year career with the NYISO, Rich worked for Husky Injection Molding Systems in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and for Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation (now part of National Grid) in Syracuse, New York. He earned a MS in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University, a BS in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York, and completion of the Harvard Business School General Management Program. A lifelong resident of the Capital District, Rich and wife Diane share 3 exceptional children Jack, Sean, and Allison as well as a below average dog, Louis.
